Phil announces the formation and release of his new blues based music project, DELTA DEEP, coming June 23rd.

Collen recorded the mix of original and hand-picked cover tracks with fellow DELTA DEEP bandmates Debbi Blackwell-Cook (back-up vocalist for such artists as Michael Buble & Luther Vandross), Robert DeLeo (Stone Temple Pilots), and drummer Forrest Robinson (drummer for India.Arie, Joe Sample & The Crusaders, TLC).

Their self-titled debut album features special guest appearances by Def Leppard vocalists Joe Elliott, Whitesnake’s David Coverdale, Sex Pistols/MANRAZE drummer Paul Cook, and GIRL/MANRAZE bassist, Simon Laffy.

Collen initially started DELTA DEEP in 2012 after jamming at home over the course of a year with friend and relative, Debbi Blackwell-Cook (Blackwell-Cook is the Godmother of Collen’s wife, Helen). What started as a casual pairing singing Motown and classic blues staples while Debbi frequently visited Collen’s home quickly turned into much more.  Collen, Helen, and Debbi began writing original music which Collen and Debbi recorded in Collen’s home studio.  Later that year, a chance meeting re-acquainted Collen with Memphis native  and enigmatic heavy metal, jazz, & r-n-b drummer Forrest Robinson. A friend suggested giving STP bassist Robert DeLeo a call.  Sharing a...

Today, Def Leppard are proud to announce the release of their latest contribution to the music industry, the first ever steam powered amplifier, “The Boiler".

Sitting proudly atop a 4x12 speaker tank, The Boiler pumps out 104 degrees of sound guaranteed to give you that unique Aquasonic™ sound! Developed over the last five years in partnership with sound expert Professor Ron N, McKew, The Boiler is made out of 100% pure organic material and will run for up to 3 hours on one tank of purified water. Expected to go into production early 2016, The Boiler will retail at just £299 and will be available in a variety of colours. Asked to comment of this extraordinary piece of equipment Joe Elliott said "At first, the rest of the band were quite skeptical about the possibility of harnessing the power of water & turning it into sound, but once they heard the prototype in action, they were all very excited about its potential.” The Boiler will be manufactured in a specially built earth friendly complex on the banks of the Derwent Dam on the outskirts of Sheffield, England, a place close to Joe Elliott's heart. "When I was a little boy, my parents & I would sometimes take a drive out to the Derwent Dam & we'd marvel at the beauty of the area. Knowing also how it was used to practice the delivery if the bouncing bomb in WW2, I saw an opportunity to change the dynamic and the history of the dam from something remembered for its contribution to something destructive, into something more creative and positive”

The Boiler will be available in all good music shops in 2016.  More info coming soon!
