Recently, our very own Joe Elliott was in New York and stopped by Q104.3 to chat about a number of things. He spoke with Jonathan Clarke about the band's summer tour with Styx and Tesla, a possible release date on a new Def Leppard album, and to clear up some classic rumors about the band. Watch the full interview above and also check out Joe's interview with Jim Kerr HERE.

Last week, Phil Collen hosted a Twitter Fan Q&A on our Twitter profile. The Q&A ran for about an hour and Phil answered over 35 questions from fans.  The Q&A (#AskPhil) was also one of the top trending topics on Twitter while it was running! See the full list of questions and answers below.

Full Phil Collen Twitter Q&A

Question by @PattyLebed: "What was/is the best advice anyone has given to you?"

Phil's Answer: Discovery. Trying things out and stumbling upon things yourself.

Question by @patmest: "If you could only listen to 5 albums for the rest of your life, which 5 would you choose?"

Phil's Answer: Aladdin Sane by David Bowie. Led Zeppelin 2. Ghost In The Machine. James Brown Live. And finally, Never Mind The Bollocks.

Question by @jodster112: "what do u think of the "edm" movement?"

Phil's Answer: I absolutely love it. I listen to EDM pretty much every day when I work out.

Question by @bettyleegreen: "if you could time travel, where would you like to go the most?"

Phil's Answer: I'd have to check out the dinosaurs, wouldn't ya?

Question by @gnarlynick19: "Phil, which artist from a different musical genre would you most like to work with?"

Phil's Answer: Skrillex and Erykah Badu.

Question by @paradise_city97: "why did you decided to play the guitar? Why not another instrument?"

Phil's Answer: It always spoke to me. I've been singing since I was a little kid, but the guitar is special. The electric rock guitar.

Question by @mrsantor: "Are there any modern bands that you wish you could play a show with?"

Phil's Answer: Nah I can't think of any..

Question by @jordan_woodhead: "What's your favourite English county?"

Phil's Answer: I assume jordan meant city, and that would be London where I was born!

Question by @dazgjones: "what's your favourite holiday destination?"

Phil's Answer: Maui is pretty cool any time of year. And the south island of New Zealand.

Question by @mnagz5: "What drew you to becoming vegan?"

Phil's Answer: Well I've been a vegetarian for 30 years. What pushed me to become vegan was this book called "The China Study".

Question @Ian1ynn: "Toughest Leppard track to nail live together on stage?"

Phil's Answer: It used to be Love Bites when it became a single and we started playing it live.

Question by @defleppardbritt: "How does it make you feel to know that this generation is STILL rocking out to your music?"

Phil's Answer: Its wonderful considering the industry is kinda disappearing & lots of classic bands are no longer around. A huge compliment.

Question by @BrianJLangford: "What do you think of Steel Panther's latest album?"

Phil's Answer: They're great. I haven't heard their new album, but I love them and they're so much fun.

Question by @bobbidalton454: "How hot was the ghost pepper that you ate?"

Phil's Answer: Yeah it blew my head off...

Question by @blakewatt5150: "Hi Phil, I was wondering how often you practice guitar now? And for how long?"

Phil's Answer: I don't practice, but I'm rehearsing & playing every single day. The only time I practiced was after my operation last year.

Question by @gabaaii_woood: "what is your favorite music video that Leppard has shot?"

Phil's Answer: I'd say the live version of "Pour Some Sugar On Me".

Question by @amandaleake1: "Hi Phil, do you plan on releasing a fitness DVD eventually since you are in great shape."

Phil's Answer: Yeah if someone could put it all together for me, don't have the time at the moment.

Question by @frizbeve: "what is your favorite song from #DefLeppard from before you joined the band?"

Phil's Answer: I like "Let It Go" actually.

Question @ClarkDax: "Will your new Jackson Ibanez-Style Explorer ever become any type of production model for Jackson guitars?"

Phil's Answer: You'll have to ask Jackson about that, but I'll certainly be using it.

Question @BrandyHitchens: "favorite thing to eat in the world?"

Phil's Answer: Well I'm a vegan so that kinda narrows it down. There's a great restaurant in NYC called Red Bamboo that I love.

Question by @pyrosteria: "What do you miss most about playing in the round? Will you ever use it again?"

Phil's Answer: It was the ultimate show. It was spectacular to be a part of and almost like going to show there was so much happening.

Question by @Juliorios__x: "What's your favorite album post-Adrenalize?"

Phil's Answer: It would be Slang, and have been listening to Euphoria lately, but...our new album we're finishing is my favorite.

Question by @andrewjburgess: "What is the most sentimental guitar you own today? :)"

Phil's Answer: My favorite is my Strat nicknamed Felix, which I got from my mum for my 21st birthday and played on Hysteria.

Question by @jodster112: "what do u think of kettlebell training?"

Phil's Answer: I don't like it because you can injure yourself very easily. Unless you know exactly what you're doing, it's dangerous.

Question by @leedavison123: "are you guys coming back to England any time soon???"

Phil's Answer: YES WE ARE!! Sometime soon...

Question by @bringer_of_heat: "any songs unfinished co-written by Steve that you guys are planning to release?"

Phil's Answer: There is one...and we have to finish it off because it was never quite completed.

Phil's Answer: I maxed out on bench press at 380lbs and leg press maxed at 1150lbs. I weighed 157lbs. This was about 2 years ago.

Question by @maddied17: "can we expect any new albums from Man Raze down the road?"

Phil's Answer: Yes for sure, but at the moment I'm focusing on the #DefLeppard and the #DELTADEEP albums.

Question by @livia_hg: "What is the song that most reminds you of Steve?"

Phil's Answer: The reason I started playing guitar was Ritchie Blackmore

Question by @AlexisLexiebug: "What was your favorite part of work with KISS on tour?"
